Danielle Waldman
Danielle joined Silversmith Capital Partners in 2020 and is currently a Principal. She believes the best companies are often built by founders who understand, or have experienced, their customers' problems deeply and channel that insight into building best-in-class products. Danielle partners with these founders to help accelerate their businesses through their next phase of growth, turning early momentum into long-term sustainable success. She has a particular interest in AI-native and AI-enabled businesses, as well as helping bring AI capabilities to traditional software companies. Her investments span developer tools, IT and security software, higher education technology, and other industry verticals. At Silversmith, she has led investments in CollegeVine, Gearset, GiveCampus, Proven Optics, and Worldly.
Prior to Silversmith, Danielle was a private equity investor at Vector Capital focused on infrastructure software and vertical applications. Previously, she worked at Morgan Stanley in the Media & Communications Investment Banking group. Her passion for technology was first sparked at MongoDB, where she started her career.
Danielle was named a Rising Star dealmaker in The Wall Street Journal's Special Report on Women to Watch and has been recognized by GrowthCap Advisory as a Top 40 Under 40 Growth Investor and Top Women Leader in Growth Investing. She serves on the advisory board of Brown University Women in Business.
Originally from the Boston area, Danielle is thrilled to be back near Fenway Park after stints in San Francisco and New York. She is an avid skier who remains locked in an ongoing debate with her snowboarder husband about which winter sport reigns supreme. When not on the slopes, Danielle enjoys running, practicing Pilates, and visiting her family's dogs, Lulu and Bear.
